A New Journey Begins: The Yamacraw Moon Arrives This Summer

One of my favorite things about writing is that every story begins with a single question.
Sometimes that question is, What if evil has been waiting for centuries? That question became the Angels Trilogy.
Other times the question is much quieter: what secrets lie hidden along the oldest streets of Savannah? That question became The Yamacraw Moon.
I am excited to announce that The Yamacraw Moon will be released in late July, marking the beginning of my new Savannah Mysteries series.
While the Angels books explored the supernatural, this new series stays firmly rooted in reality—at least as much as anything can in a city as mysterious as Savannah. The stories are inspired by the city's history, architecture, forgotten corners, and the fascinating people who have called it home for generations.
Readers will meet Kate Gallagher, whose curiosity often leads her into places where the past refuses to stay buried, and renew acquaintance with Detective John Mitchell, whose practical instincts are constantly challenged by the strange cases that seem to find them.
Savannah itself is more than a setting. It is a character. Its cobblestone streets, shaded squares, historic homes, hidden courtyards, and winding alleys all hold stories waiting to be uncovered. Every time I walk through the city, I discover another detail that makes its way into a novel. That is one of the greatest joys of writing this series.
I hope you'll enjoy taking this journey with me. You'll find mystery, history, memorable characters, and a city that never seems to give up all of its secrets. Over the coming weeks, I'll be sharing more about the inspiration behind the book, the research that went into it, and a few glimpses behind the scenes of the writing process.
Thank you to everyone who has encouraged me along the way. Every email, every review, every conversation about my books reminds me why I love telling these stories.
I can't wait to introduce you to The Yamacraw Moon.
See you in Savannah.
